In my previous post, I talked briefly about the broken thinking of those who support abortion. My target audience was fellow Christians who regularly engage in a battle of logic and facts with the unsaved whose minds and hearts are actively warring against their Creator.
The point of that article was that pro-abortion adherents are not going to change their minds unless the Lord first calls them to repentance and changes their hearts.
It has been brought to my attention, mostly by my amazing wife, but also by another blogger who somehow stumbled on my post within minutes of its publishing, that my tone in the article was not as gentle as it should have been. Admittedly, I began writing the article as a way to vent some of my frustration and anger regarding the issue of abortion.
Abortion is an incredibly incendiary topic because we are talking about the celebrated murder of a baby in the name of convenience. It is right to be angry about such wicked behavior, just as God is.
That being said, a Christian should always be “speaking truth in love” (Ephesians 4:15) and the verbiage I used in the article did not quite meet that standard. I could have used more loving language (especially in the opening paragraph).
I referred to pro-aborts as “stupid people” in an attempt to explain that I believe their brains are not thinking rationally about the subject. In retrospect, I realize that the term was unnecessarily inflammatory and insulting, though the aim was not actually to insult.
I do apologize for my choice of words. I can not and do not, however, apologize for the article as a whole.
The question that I would ask is, what say you to these planned laws violating the First Amendment? Because as I mentioned in my post, abortion is permissible under Jewish law. Banning abortions under any circumstances would not only place women’s lives in danger, but it would violate the First Amendment in the process.

First of all, we are not a nation living under Jewish law, so I am not sure how that point is even relevant. It has also never been demonstrated that banning abortions would put women’s lives in danger (other than “forcing” them to seek so-called “unsafe” abortions).
Furthermore, I fail to see how the First Amendment comes into play in any way. This is the text of the First Amendment:
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
Now, unless you want to argue that abortion is a means of practicing a religion (which would still conflict with other provisions in the Constitution anyway), nothing else in the amendment comes close. To which laws are you referring that would violate this amendment?

You are correct that the US is not under Jewish law, but enacting any laws based on Christianity and the Bible would restrict religious freedom for Jews, and practitioners of any other religion. It would also interfere with the right of people to be non-religious. In context of abortion laws, draconian measures, based upon or inspired by the Bible, that denied Jews (and others) abortion access, even where permissible under Jewish beliefs, would be violating the First Amendment. Specifically, it would ‘prohibit the free exercise’ of Judaism.
You ironically hit the nail on your head with your next argument. Women would indeed be forced to seek abortions through other means (banning abortions has never actually reduced abortion rates), thus forcing them to risk their lives. Forcing women to proceed with dangerous pregnancies does not suggest any interest in their well-being and creates a greater risk of loss of life of the woman.
Additionally, there is plenty of evidence that where abortion is legal abortion rates are *lower*. https://www.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/abortion-rates-don-t-drop-when-procedure-outlawed-it-does-ncna1235174
